Company membership includes voting rights with different tiers for the number of members at your company (1-8, 9-16, or 17-25). 

The primary and additional contacts will have full access to the members only section, which includes the membership directory, archive and list serve information.  Member contacts may also participate in online forum discussions and join all NAMEC webinars free of charge. All contacts are eligible to participate in NAMEC Committees, run for election to the NAMEC Board of Directors, and submit projects for consideration for Best Practices Awards.

Membership Eligibility 

Membership (Full Voting) is open to any medical education company (MEC) that meets the following definition:

  • An entity (either for profit or not for profit) whose primary business is the dissemination of the most current information on disease states, therapies, medical products and devices, and other pertinent medical practice topics to physicians and other health care professionals. Or,
  • Information is primarily delivered through continuing professional education activities, such as symposia or enduring materials. These activities are intended to confirm or change current medical practice and ultimately improve patient care. These activities may be supported by educational grants from pharmaceutical, biological, and/or device manufacturing companies, from other commercial entities, from government agencies, from foundations, or from subscription or registration fees. 
Non-Voting membership categories include Individuals and Vendors/Consultants. 
  • Individual membership is open to an individual with a vested interest in the field, such as Medical Writers or other professionals.  
  • Vendors should provide a product or service to medical education companies furthering their educational mission.  They should be working with at least one MEC.  Member of this category can appear in our online directory and currently are eligible for a free website advertisement. Discounted email marketing is available for members of this category as well.

Membership Fees

NAMEC MembershipVoting Membership 

Membership will be valid through December 31 of the current year. The membership fee starts at $550 per year.

Non-Voting Membership

Individual Membership will be valid through December 31 of the current year. The membership fee is $250 per year.

Vendor Membership will be valid through December 31 of the current year. The membership fee is $550 per year.  Vendor members also receive discounts off of NAMEC advertisements.

New member fees are prorated on a monthly basis for the first year.
